I do not own this image. I edited the image in Canva.
Ever since she released folklore in June, I have been on a Taylor Swift binge. While Red is my favorite album of Taylor's, folklore has come very close to being second or even tied for first place. In honor of her eighth studio album, I decided it would be fun to finally listen to all of her discography! So today, I have her sixth album, titled reputation

This album was released on November 10, 2017. It came out three years after 1989 which is the longest time she's gone since releasing new music.

1. "...Ready for It?"

  • Okay, I know there's so much to say about this era but this is one hell of a way to begin a new one.
  • "Touch me and you'll never be alone"
  • "In the middle of the night, in my dreams / you should see the things we do, baby"

2. "End Game" (featuring Ed Sheeran and Future)

  • "And you heard about me / I got some big enemies / big reputation, big reputation"
  • "I don't wanna miss you / like the other girls do"
  • "red lips"

3. "I Did Something Bad"

  • "I never trust a narcissist / but they love me / so I play 'em like a violin"
  • "Crimson red paint on my lips"
  • "They say I did something bad /  then why's it feel so good"
  • ""They're burning all the witches / even if you aren't one / so light me up, light me up"
    • This reminds me of "mad woman" from folklore
  • "So I fly 'em all around the world / and I let them think they saved me"
    • "Blank Space"

4. "Don't Blame Me"

  • "I been breaking hearts a long time / and toying with them older guys"
  • "They say, 'she's gone too far this time'"

5. "Delicate"

  • I love--and I mean love--this song and how well it fits into the track 5 lore. We all know that she's so happy with Joe and these lyrics are so relatable. If I'm being honest, I really want to be able to find a romance where I have to ask these questions.
  • "My reputation's never been worse, so / you must like me for me"
  • "Oh damn, never seen that color blue"
  • "Do the girls back home touch you like I do?"
  • "Long night, with your hands up in my hair"
  • "Are you dreaming of me?"
  • "Sometimes when I look into your eyes / I pretend you're mine, all the damn time"
  • "Is it cool that I said all that? Is it too soon to do this yet? Cause I know that it's delicate"
    • I actually love this lyric.

6. "Look What You Made Me Do"

  • "I've got a list of names and yours is in red, underlined / I check it once, then I check it twice"
  • "I'll be the actress / starring in your bad dreams"
    • "Blank Space"
  • "I'm sorry the old Taylor can't come to the / phone right now / why? Oh, cause she's dead"

7. "So It Goes..."
  • "All the pieces fall right into place"
  • "So it goes"
    • "Style"
    • "You Are In Love"

8. "Gorgeous"
  • "magnetic field"
    • "Lover"--"I take this magnetic force of a man to be my lover"
  • "Ocean blue eyes / lookin in mine / I feel like I might / sink and drown and die"
  • "Guess I'll just stumble on home / to my cats...alone /...unless you want to come along?"

9. "Getaway Car"
  • "The ties were black, the lies were white / In shades of gray in candlelight / I wanted to leave him / I needed a reason"
    • "Daylight"
    • "Cruel Summer"
  • "It hit you like a shotgun shot to the heart"
  • "Say you fancy me not stuff"
    • "Paper Rings"
  • "Us traitors never win"
    • Bonnie and Clyde
    • "Dear John"

10. "King of My Heart"
  • "Never took me quite the way that you do"
  • "Your love is a secret I'm hoping, dreaming, dying / to keep / change my priorities / the taste of your lips is my idea of luxury"

11. "Dancing with Our Hands Tied"

  • "Deep blue but you painted me golden"
    • "Red"
    • "Daylight"
  • "I loved you in spite of / Deep fears that the world would divide us"
    • "Back to December"

12. "Dress"
  • "Our secret moment in a crowded room / They got no idea about me and you"
    • The public had no idea about Swift's relationship with Joe for a very long time so this lyric makes sense
  • "I don't want you like a best friend"
  • "Flashback when you met met / Your buzzcut and my hair bleached / Even in my worst times, you could see the best / in me / Flashback to my mistakes / My rebounds, my earthquakes / Even in my worst lies, you saw the truth in me"
    • She fell in love with Joe during an incredibly tumultuous time in her life and I love these lyrics. It's so important to find someone--if we want someone--who can see us for who we are through the worst times.
  • "Only bought this dress so you could take if off"

13. "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things"
  • "Here's a toast to my real friends / They don't care about the he-said, she-said"

  • "And here's to my baby / He ain't reading what they call me lately / And here's to my mama / Had to listen to all this drama"

14. "Call It What You Want"
  • "My castle crumbled overnight"
    • "New Romantics"
  • "I brought a knife to a gunfight"
    • "Look What You Made Me Do"
  • "Call it what you want to"
  • "All my glowers grew back as thorns / windows boarded up after the storm"
    • "Clean"
    • "Blank Space"
    • "the lakes"
  • This entire bridge is amazing

15. "New Year's Day"

  • "Don't read the last page"
    • "The Story of Us"
    • "Enchanted"
  • "Hold on to the memories / They will hold on to you"
  • "Please don't ever become a stranger / Whose laugh I could recognize anywhere"
  • "I want your midnight / But I'll be cleaning up bottles with you / on New Year's Day"

This is the album that I am the most conflicted about. I can't tell if I like this album or not. There are some songs that I love ("New Year's Day" and "Getaway Car" and "Call It What You Want") but there are some songs that aren't so good (..."Ready For It?"). I can understand what she was trying to do with this album but I'm not sure if she achieved it personally.
