I think we all know the masterpiece that is Our Eyes Were Watching God so it should be no surprise that I would feature her for this month.

It took me a while to truly understand this quote. I think for me, keeping my jealousy in check has been hard to do, but worth the work. I am so glad that I am able to be happy for people in my life to flourish without making me feel bad about myself.

I think this is a version of "walk the the walk, talk the talk" which I appreciate immensely.
I would like to think that this could deal with non-romantic love as well. Sometimes the relationships we have with our friends and family leads us to the best mental state.
I heard this quote for the first time in high school, when I first read her book, and it has stayed with me since then. I think that it speaks for itself.
Time heals most wounds and this quote is so relevant to that. There are things that I understand about my life that I didn't many years ago. Time gives me so much perspective and I appreciate it a lot.
